Comprehensive Facility Inspections

CCMI performs Comprehensive Facility Inspections whenever critical data and information needs to be collected or evaluated at a specific location.  Comprehensive Facility Inspections are benficial to owners and operators when investigating and identifying contamination sources, when preparing for regulatory or internal audits, or during real estate transactions.  Detailed information regarding the storage tank system(s) is provided in an effort to assist our clients in making informed decisions regarding their location and equipment.  Comprehensive Facility Inspections are tailored to your specific needs and the information you want obtained.  The following describes some of the services that can be included in your Comprehensive Facility Inspection.

  • Location History - Location history and usage can be identified through client records or through file reviews of state, local and/or municipal records.
  • Equipment Inspections & Cataloging - Equipment inspections can be performed to identify maintenance/compliance concerns or to catalog the type of equipment present at a location.  Equipment inspections include; and are not limited to, pumps, piping, dispensers and associated equipment (including spill basins, caps, gaskets, adapters).  Leak detection and spill/overfill equipment can be inspected to ensure proper operation.  Additionally, accessible below-grade structures, which can act as conduits for releases are identified (i.e. monitoring wells, sewers, septic systems, storm drains, and utility entryways).  Digital photo documentation of location and equipment is collected.
  • Records Review - Available records are reviewed to identify alarm history, leak test results, maintenance records, cathodic protection records, inventory reconciliation, and previous test results.
  • "Comprehensive" Testing - CCMI can also perform routine and or "comprehensive" testing to identify any potential environmental concerns.  These tests typically include, but are not limited to: tank/piping tightness, helium pinpoint, secondary containment, riser isolation tests, and pressure testing of vapor recovery/vent piping.
